Every performer needs an audience, and every audience needs a performer. It is therefore, critically important that students finish their poems on time. Due to the performance aspect of this assignment, they will need to have their poems ready on the performance date. Performance days are set for January 14-17. In order to have an audience, students need to be ready and able to perform during that time. Wednesday, Jan. 2Timeline: Dec. 17 - get topic approved Dec. 18 - Make a plan (thinking map) of your poem Dec. 19 - Jan. 2 - Write, revise and polish the lyrics Jan. 3 - print 2 copies of your poem Jan. 4 - color code, label and turn in your poem Jan. 7-10 practice with a neighbor in class Jan. 14 - performances begin This is the last day we will take any class time to write our poems. The poems should be finished when you come to class tomorrow. We will go to the writing lab to print 2 copies of the poems tomorrow. Make sure you either bring printouts with you from home, or you are ready to print when you get to class. Teacher copy should be printed in 14 point and calibri font. Please do not waste your time messing around with font style and size.
